Perspective has been described as a bit of an Aladdin’s Cave. You’ve heard of Aladdin haven’t you? He was the boy who found the magic lamp and was given three, free wishes. Our shop is chock full of lots of interesting, unusual and timeless children’s toys and gifts and kids from the very young to the really quite old, will enjoy playing with and collecting them.

We stock a wide range of toys from people you have heard of like; Alex, Big Jigs, Jelly Cat and Orange Tree amongst others. Our range includes; bath toys for splashing about in the bath with, bookends to keep all your favourite story books neat and tidy, garden toys like swings, spades and forks, height charts so you can see how big you are getting, pull-a-long toys that you can trail behind you and push-a-long toys that go in front.  We’ve got some lovely soft toys for you to collect and cuddle up to and some great wooden puzzles for you to put together (and take apart). We’ve got wooden toys in really bright colours and especially for girls, we’ve got some lovely rag dolls and skipping ropes so you can practice all those great skipping songs.

Children's Bath toys

Our range of toys to be enjoyed at bath time includes; chubby foam shapes that stick to the wall tiles or bath tub when wet, a family of yellow rubber ducks that you’ll want to play with, even when you are old, water squirters in lots of different shapes and wind up crocodiles that can swim in the bath with you. We also have bathtub crayons so you can draw on the bath, if mummy lets you.  You can dress up some foamy friends or play with magnetic boats, play music or read a book, all whilst getting you and mummy, lovely and wet and for extra splashiness, you can get Sophie the giraffe to help, she’s really great at splashing!!

Children's Bookends

To help keep all your favourite bedtime storybooks together in one neat place (after mummy’s picked them all up off the floor of course, silly mummy!) we’ve got some colourful and chunky bookends. They go on your bookshelves to keep all your books standing up straight. They come in some great colours, green, orange, red, blue and pink and feature some fun characters like spacemen, soldiers, knights, fairies and even Noah; he’s the man who saved all the animals. You may even have that story in your book collection right now, ask mummy to read it to you.

Children's Garden Toys

Have you got a big ol’ tree in your back garden? Is it as strong as an Ox and does it look like it’s been there forever? If you are lucky enough to have a tree like that in your garden and if the tree doesn’t mind, (you’ll need to ask him first) you could get daddy to fix up a garden swing or a rope ladder for you. You’ll have great fun swinging back and forth or climbing up high. Don’t go to high though, not without mummy and daddy watching. When you get tired of swinging or climbing, you could always help mummy and daddy with the vegetable patch. You could have your very own colourful garden tool set to help with digging, forking and raking the soil. You’ll  have fun and get really dirty at the same time, which will give you the chance to have another bath, and even more fun.

His n Hers Children's Height Charts

Its funny how, every day when you wake up, the ground seems just a little bit further away from you, than it was when you went to sleep. This is because, every day that passes, you are growing a little bigger and now, you can keep a check on how big you are getting with our fabulous new height charts. For the girls, we have one that looks like a ballerina and for the boys, granny Irene has chosen a sheep, they are both FIVE FEET tall, so it’ll be a while before you out grow them but one thing’s for sure, unless you are granny Irene, you probably will. (she’s very short..)

Children's Pull Along Toys

We have a lovely range of soft pull along toys for you to choose from. There’s a black and white cat that looks a bit like postman pat’s cat Jess, there’s a yellow lion, just like the one from the Wizard of Oz and there’s a blue elephant, he must just be quite cold, but you could warm him up by giving him a nice home. They’ve all got wheels so you can pull them along but the wheels come off, so you can cuddle them too.

We also have a great range of childrens push along toys for you to choose from or collect. There’s a cat, a cow, a dog, a duck, a fairy, a ladybird, a lion, a rabbit and a sheep and all of them have got wheels that make a clacking sound as you push them. They are very cute and are sure to make you smile as they clack along in front of you.

Collectable Rag Dolls

Come to granny Irene’s shop and you’ll be amazed at her range of rag dolls. She has rag dolls that are angels, rag dolls that are fairies, rag dolls that are nurses and ragdolls that are sailors. She has rag dolls called Emily, Liberty, Annabelle and Lily and she has lots of others dressed in pretty clothes. Granny Irene will say they play around a lot at night time when they are supposed to be sleeping, but then, Granny Irene would say that.. Wouldn’t she..

Children's Skipping Ropes

Do you know any of these rhymes? Not last night but the night before or, I'm a little Dutch girl or, I am a girl guide dressed in blue? Maybe you know Mabel, Mabel, set the table or Peter, Peter pumpkin eater? There are loads more rhymes to learn and you can practice them all with these great skipping ropes or jump ropes as the Americans call them. We have lots of skipping ropes for you to collect, from cows to fairies, from frogs to ladybirds and even monkeys.

Collectable Soft Toys

Perspective has a wonderful range of soft toys to collect. We have some bashful donkeys and some cordy roy animals including, cats and dogs, crocodiles, elephants, mice, pigs and even aardvarks. Have you ever seen a real aardvark? No? Here’s a secret...neither has Granny Irene.. he..he. Two cuddly dogs have also come to visit and so has Paddington bear, he looks great with his wellies, hat and special Paddington Bear suitcase.

Children's Wooden Puzzles

Granny Irene has so many puzzles in her shop, it’s a wonder she knows what to do with them all. There are large puzzles, small puzzles, big block puzzles, colourful puzzles, interesting puzzles and educational puzzles. There are number and shape inset puzzles to help you learn where to put things and there are tractor, train and digger puzzles too.

From tractors to trains and fire engines, from dump trucks to cement mixers, Perspective’s toy box is overflowing with exciting treats. There’s an alphabet block tray that will help with your ABC’s and bead stairs to help with counting and colours.

There are slices of cake and pizza you can serve to your family of rag dolls and animals and there are eggs and pieces of fruit and veg to chop up for cooking. Noah’s ark is here too with stacking toys and large colourful clocks to help you tell the time. There are shape sorters and laces to make with coloured beads, there are pin shapes and bead frames, play sets and coloured peg bashers. In fact, Granny Irene has stocked everything she can in her shop, to make your growing up time, as fun and interesting as possible. Ask mummy and daddy if you can come to have a look around.
